En 1993 me inicié en el coleccionismo de modelos de autos diecast escala 1:18. En aquella época compraba modelos exoticos principalmente de las marcas que se podían encontrar en el mercado nacional, prácticamente el 80% eran de la marca Maisto y Bburago, pero conseguí también algunos modelos de otras marcas que no se veían mucho por estas tierras como son Revell, Jouef Evolution y Solido. Llegué a tener poco mas de 50, pero por distintas circunstancias dejé de coleccionar en el año 2000.

Por casualidad hace unos cuatro años llegó a mis manos un modelo Porsche 1:18 de la marca Exoto y quedé maravillado con el detalle, era increíble lo mucho que había evolucionado el hobby en estos últimos años. Navegué por la Red y conocí nuevas marcas que habían hecho de los modelos a escala 1:18 un verdadero arte. El gusto por coleccionar renació de inmediato, un mes después había comprado 8 modelos, continué comprando hasta llegar actualmente a alrededor de 300 modelos.

Mi línea de coleccionismo se centra en modelos de la marca Porsche en toda su gama, pero no son los únicos que tengo, de igual manera colecciono Volkswagen enfriados por aire y algunos pocos enfriados por agua. También vehiculos, figuras y accesorios que se relacionen con las marcas anteriores.
En Julio de 2008 creo este blog con la intención de compartir mi colección con todos aquellos que como yo gozan de este pasatiempos.

A la izquierda, en parte superior de la columna se ubica el índice de cada una de las diferentes marcas de modelos que forman la colección, el botón de arriba corresponde a los autos de competencia y el de abajo a los de calle. Periódicamente llevaré a cabo actualizaciones para ir incluyendo los modelos que se vayan integrando.
